Site closure following production relocation
An international company closed a site with several hundred employees and relocated production. We provided communications support for the project, particularly during the second phase, which involved labor law, political, and communications issues with the works council, labor unions, employees, the media, and political stakeholders.

Reputation protected
Challenge:
Our task was to identify and assess internal reputational risks in advance—including loss of trust in management, declining productivity, and the departure of key employees—and address them through communications. The same applied to external factors such as negative media coverage, social media campaigns, political criticism, reputational damage among customers, pressure on the employer brand, and criticism from investors or ESG-focused stakeholders.
The comprehensive communications roadmap covered all audiences, scenarios, and measures over a project period of approximately one year and was implemented together with the client.
Outcome:
Our restructuring communications were based on transparency, respect, and responsibility. The reasons for the closure were communicated clearly and supported by economic facts, while specific support measures and the approach to the social plan were communicated clearly and promptly at employee meetings, town halls, and press conferences. Professional communications helped contain social media campaigns and anticipated negative narratives, preventing more significant reputational damage.
